The largest political party in Nepal is the Maoist followed by Nepali Congress as the second one and the current in the opposition benches. The Prime minister forms his cabinet, and the ministers are then in charge of their respected offices and departments. The minister for foreign affairs is Pradeep Kumar, the minister for defense is Ishwor Pokhrel, the minister for education is Giriraj Mani Pokharel, the minister for transport is Raghubir Mahaseth, Minister of forest and environment is Shakti Bahadur.
