How Honduras Government Works

The Honduras government works by the democratic republic which means that the Honduras government is comprised of three main branches which make the whole system. Those three branches are an Executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial branch. The legislative branch is the chief lawmaking body of the state. The legislative branch has a total of 128 members that have a four-year contract. The judicial branch of the Honduras government is an independent branch which makes sure that justice is served in all parts of the country. There are a supreme court and a high court in the judicial branch, and there are judges for these courts which have a seven-year contract. It is associated with things like taxes. 

Executive Branch of Honduras Government

Last and most importantly we have the executive branch which comprises the cabinet of ministers. It includes the President of the country. The president is not only the government head but also the head of the state, and he is selected for a four-year term by the voting system. Among the top candidates, the one with the most number of votes is elected as the President. As of Honduras government 2018, the president of the country is Juan Orlando Hernandez, and he was selected as the president in 2014.
