The history of the language in Moldova dates back to 1989 when the official language in Moldova would be called the Moldovan which would be written in Latin script, it was meant to be used as the only language to be used by the majority but soon in 1991, the language in Moldova was named as Romanian. A lot of confusion was going on from 1990 to 2003 when the language was sometimes thought to be Romanian and other time was called Moldovan language. Owing to this language, much linguistics believe that there is no difference between Moldovan and Romanian. While Russian is used as a secondary tool to communicate by the people who mostly belong to Russia and live near the Ukrainian borders.
