Judicial branch: judiciary works independently of Papua New Guinea government. It has the supreme court of Papua New Guinea headed by the chief justice. Governor-general of Papua New Guinea government appoints the chief justice. The legal and judicial services commission appoints all other members of the judicial branch of the Papua New Guinea government.
