Spain Government Facts; Spain is a democratic sovereignty country, and the Spain Government (Spanish Gobierno de Espana) is a parliamentary monarchy, where the monarch is the head of state, and prime minister is the official “President of the Government” the head of the government. The Central Spain Government is led by the Executive Branch and General State Administration of Spain.
Spain Government History
The Iberian Peninsula has been ruled by many Empire over the centuries, The Roman Empire left the significant impact on Spain Culture, The Visigoths came and force the Romans to go away, then in 711 the Moors came from North Africa through the Mediterranean Sea and conquered most of Spain. The Royal marriage of Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile united the two kingdoms and finally led to the construction of Spain.

The Spain parliamentary system re-established by the Spanish Constitution of 1978, the Spain Government is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy, that is based on three branches: Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and Judicial Branch. The Spanish monarchy is currently represented by King Felipe VI as the head of state, his wife Queen Letizia, and their daughter Leonor, Princess of Asturias, and Infanta Sofia, the prime minister “President of the Government” who is the head of the Executive Branch of government and nominated by the King and must be approved by the Legislative Branch of the government. Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) is sworn in on the 2 June 2018 as a new prime minister of Spain.
