Switzerland Government is a democratic type of government where any citizen is free to challenge any law to bring forward by the federal assembly. Switzerland government does not have the president or prime minister rather the citizens of the country have the power to accept to reject any law passed by the federal assembly.

The federal assembly constitutes the council of the states and the national council. In the council of states, there are 46 members representing each of the 26 cantons. The members of the national council are 200 who are elected by the citizens of Switzerland. The voting for national council members held every four years. Federal council of Switzerland is the executive branch which consists of six members who are elected by the parliament. These members head the ministries like internal affairs, economy, education, and others.

The presidential role of attending international and national conferences is taken by all the members one by one that is it rotates among the members. Federal supreme court heads the judiciary branch of Switzerland government. The judges are elected by the federal assembly after every six years. Every canton of Switzerland has its constitution and thus the government which consists of 5 elected members.
