After being suppressed by the Saudi attacks on Yemen, the Yemen custom and revenue department has imposed Yemen custom rules that should be followed by the people regardless of the nation they belong to. • According to Yemen custom rules, the import of 600 cigarettes is allowed, or in case of cigars, the number is 60.
• While only one pound of tobacco is allowed to be imported.
• If you are planning to import perfumes, then you can only import 1 bottle of it.
• While importing goods, you should keep a check on the limit as it should not exceed more than YER 100,000.
• The import of any kind of arms and ammunition is prohibited according to Yemen custom rules.
• Import of any plant species that are endangered or is on the brink of extinction is not allowed.
• According to Yemen custom rules, the import of any kind of drug or anything related to Israel as simple as a magazine is prohibited.

Yemen Import & Export

In case of pets, you can only import or export the pets for whom you have the medical certificate that serves as evidence the pet is vaccinated. If talking about birds then the import or export of those birds are allowed which the local authorities are okay with.The import or export of the currency is not allowed for the non-residents but is allowed for the residents up to YER 2000.
