  3. March 30- Good Friday is Barbados Public holiday celebrated as the Friday before Easter Sunday.
  4. April 2- Easter Monday
  5. April 28- National Heroes Day celebrates 10 key people in the history of Barbados.
  6. May 1- May Day
  7. May 21- Whit Monday also known as the Pentecost Monday which is a Christian holiday celebrated a day after Pentecost, also known as Whit Sunday or Whitsunday, which memorializes the descent of the Holy Ghost upon the disciples of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament of the Bible. It is a moveable Barbados public holiday because it is determined by the date of Easter which is variable.
  8. August 1- Emancipation Day is a Barbados public holiday which is celebrated as the day on which slavery was abolished throughout the British Empire by the Slavery Abolition Act 1833, which came into effect on 1st August of the following 1834.
  9. August 6- Kadooment Day marks the culmination of the Crop Over Festival Season and is the official finale celebration of the season, usually held on the first Monday of August. The word Kadooment is a Bajan term meaning a big occasion filled with fun and merriment. This is enjoyed by the locals and tourists to the extent of being voted as the best carnivals in the Caribbean.
