This day is celebrated by praying and arranging religious events. At the end of the month of Ramzan, Eid-ul-Fitr arrives which is also an Islamic occasion on which 3 days are given off. On the calendar of UAE holidays 2018, this occasion comes around June 15th. Early morning prayer is offered to start this day and families greet and big family dinners are planned for this event.

Special Occasions in UAE

Soon after Eid-ul-Fitr comes the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, this United Arab Emirates public holiday will come on the date of August 19. To celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, Muslims offer sacrifice of goats, camels and cows as a religious activity and the family gatherings are held to celebrate it. September  13th marks the day of Islamic new year. UAE holidays and traditions include the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) birthday which is different every year. As of 2018, this UAE public holiday will come on November 19th. 

UAE National Holiday

On November 30th, Martyr’s day is celebrated in respect of the brave soldiers and leaders that have fought for the freedom of the country. The UAE national holiday is celebrated on December 2nd and December 3rd. This United Arab Emirates public holiday is celebrated in order to acknowledge the freedom from the British treaties.
