History of Palestine Government

Palestine government’s history goes back to 1936 when the Arab high committee used to dominate and rule the Palestine people. At that time the Arab high committee was the central big hub which ruled all of the Arab communities. Its first committee came into being in 1936 and the second committee was established in 1945. After the rule of Arab higher committee, the All-Palestine government came into being in 1948 with the help of the Arab league. The reign of All-Palestine government was short lived and was soon dissolved in 1959 by Egypt. 

Government Organization of Palestine

After the struggle of all these rules over Palestine, the Palestine Liberation Organization was established in 1964 which still represents the people of Palestine. The Palestine government 2018 has a structure built which is governed by the Executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization. The chairman of this committee is Mahmoud Abbas since November 2004 in which Yasser Arafat died. This committee handles all the situations whether they are financial or judicial. The Palestine Liberation Organization is the representation of Palestine internationally. The committee has refused to operate in Gaza strip following the attack of Israel troops there.
