Palestine International Airports
Palestine has been going through very rough times owing to the domination of Israel in that country. Due to this conflict between Israel and Palestine, the tourism in the country has been very minimum and the Palestine international airport lived a very short life before being demolished. We can understand your confusion and we will let you in all the information that we have so that you can understand the whole situation.
Airports of Palestine
There were a total of 4 airports that were ever a part of Palestine but two of them don’t exist anymore, one of them being the only Palestine International airport which was inaugurated very recently. The 4 airports that were once used in Palestine were the Yasser Arafat International airport that is located in Rafah, Gush Katif airport that is located in Khan Yunis, The Jerusalem airport that is located in Ramallah and the Muqeible airfield that is located in Jenin.
International Airport of Palestine
The only Palestine International airport was destroyed by Israel’s troops back in 2000 due to the conflict between Palestine and Israel. The Palestine international airport was made by the financial assistance of Japan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Germany and was inaugurated in 1998. It was said to facilitate passengers up to 700,000 and was planned on being operated throughout the year. This little beacon of light that was going to provide an uplift in the tourism side of the country was soon a victim of Israel and to this day there is not a direct passage to travel to Palestine.
