Bhutan Weather
The weather in Bhutan depends on the latitude entirely. At different latitudes, one will find different kinds of weather. The south of Bhutan tends to get hot and humid in the summer. Winters are generally cool. The rainfall in the monsoon can be quite substantial. The northern parts of Bhutan can get quite cold in the winter.
Weather Forecast in Bhutan
- The weather forecast in Bhutan depends on the season. Bhutan does have four seasons. Spring is considered to occur between March, April, and May, Summer is during June, July, and August, Autumn is between September, October, and November, and December, January and February would compromise of Bhutan’s winter.
- Bhutan weather depends on the region you are at. If you are in Thimpu the weather can go as low as -3 degrees Celsius in the winter, to a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius in the summer.
- If you look at the map of Bhutan and you look at the hilly regions like the region of Punakha, you will see a different range of weather. It can be as cold as 5 degrees in the winter and as hot as 28 degrees in the summer.
- The southern regions are the ones where the weather is quite extreme. It gets more tropical weather during the monsoons. The coldest it gets in the south of the region is up to 10 degrees Celsius. The hottest it gets on an average is 32 degrees Celsius. This is quite hot as compared to the other areas of Bhutan.
- Bhutan weather depends solely on the height of the place you are planning to travel to.
