Tourist has to face the main issue in currency when they travel to another country. There are many currency scams happened with tourist when they need to exchange the currency. Kyat is Burma Currency. The Burma currency has a code of MMK. There are many places in Burma which use both currencies (USD & Kyat). Things to Know About Burma Currency
Tourist must exchange their currency into Burma currency and take cash with them because there are no ATMs in Myanmar. You can exchange money from the airport (during regular hours) and from Bank. Tourists have to face trouble if they have Only USD, not Kyat (Burma currency) especially in places where they have to go shopping or want to eat something.

It is easy for a tourist to take not only US dollars but they can take Euros and Singapore Dollar and it can easily be exchanged on Yangon and Mandalay airport. Burma currency is given at exact rates without any scam at airports and banks with proper security. Tourist must know that exchanging of their currency into Burma currency especially in the streets of Yangon is not safe as there are many money changers who done fraud with tourist. Moreover, at the airport, you can exchange Burma currency into the desired one when leaving Burma.
