The issyk-kul international airport is a Kyrgyzstan international airport that has been named after the village in which it is located that is Issyk Kul district. Before it was known as the Tamchy Airport in 2013 but then it has been changed to the existing name. It could be said that this airport is still under renovation. Adding to the list of Kyrgyzstan international airport is the Karakol International airport that is operational since the 1940s. it was not an international airport until 2013.
