History of Iran Government
It is nowadays one of the four governments which are using the title Islamic republic in the world. The Islamic Republic of Iran was created immediately after the Islamic Revolution took place. The first vital demonstrations with the intent to overthrow the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi initiated in January 1978, with an entirely new, Islamic based constitution which was being approved in the year of December 1979 by the Iran government, finally ending the monarchy. The Shah ran away to Iran in January 1979 after the initiation of massive strikes and demonstrations against him and his rule which had paralyzed the country. Ayatollah Khomeini came back in February of the same year after a long period of exile, and he was greeted in the capital of Tehran by several million Iranians who had been supporting him. The Iran government is based on the belief of one God who is the sole creator of the universe.
