Malta Custom Rules For EU Countries

According to Malta custom rules, EU members can enjoy taking 800 cigarettes with them within the country along with 200 cigars. Moreover, there is certain relaxation for alcoholic beverages too i.e. 20 liters alcohols they can take in quantity less than 22% and 90 liters wine.

Non-EU members coming within the country can take only 50 cigars with them along with 200 cigarettes. Firearms and explosives are not allowed for anyone either EU or non-EU as per Malta custom rules. Moreover, pets including cats, dogs, parrots etc. can be taken subject to rule 998 of Malta custom rules having microchips, rabies vaccinations, and complete blood tests done for their bodies in order to survive better within the country. This is most important of all Malta custom rules for pets as they can spread specific diseases for residents in some cases. Last but the least; currency imports and exports have to be done in accordance to the rules too because heavy currencies are not allowed to get exported and rules for foreign or national currencies can be checked on country or embassy website if any exists or can be asked when landed at the airport safely.
