Taiwan custom rules are applicable on everyone who is either entering Taiwan or already in the boundaries of Taiwan. Taiwan custom rules are governed by the Taiwan customs and revenue department which are supervised by the Taiwan government. To start off the Taiwan custom rules, we begin with the currency that is allowed to be imported or exported.

According to Taiwan custom rules, the currency that is allowed to be imported or exported is TWD 60,000 but if the amount is exceeding these numbers then you are going to have to declare it on the airport. Travelers over the age of 20 can import 200 cigarettes, one bottle of liquor and goods up to TWD 20,000 free of cost. Every type of drug is strictly prohibited and even the import of e-cigarettes. As for pets, according to Taiwan custom rules you are allowed to import pets that have a medical certificate that proves that they have been vaccinated not more than 6 months ago and specifically are rabies free. There is no airport tax applied on passengers anywhere in the airport or at the time of arrival.
