Uganda is one of the African countries which have recently gained the impression of being little safe for tourism and this is the reason why many people are turning their heads around in order to travel to Uganda. This brings us to Uganda international airports; to handle this new influx of passengers the government of Uganda is finding ways to expand the Uganda international airports.

As of 2018, there is a total number of 35 airports in the list of airports in Uganda which include the Uganda international airport, the domestic airport, the military airfields and every other airfield in Uganda. Due to not having the means to establish more Uganda international airports in Uganda, the government of Uganda has decided to work on the already built Uganda international airport.

There is only one Uganda international airport that facilitates foreign passengers and that is the Entebbe international airport located in the town of Entebbe. This Uganda international airport serves as a public airport and also the military airport. It could be also be considered as one of the major airports in Uganda that served almost 1,530,000 passengers in 2017. So, if you plan on going to Uganda you will be arriving at this airport.

Information About Uganda Airports

A very wise and financially stable initiative has been taking by the Uganda government to upgrade this airport. The idea of modernizing this airport was declared in 2015 when the South Korea government helped in funding the Uganda government for its update. The overall upgrade of this international airport will take place in three phases.
