Mauritius enjoys quite a mild climate. Although the temperatures are quite moderate throughout the year with few and occasional rainfalls, the most pleasant Mauritius weather in order to visit the island is between the exciting months of April and June and between the months of September and December.

As Mauritius is situated in the southern hemisphere, the summer and winter months are quite the opposite to the seasons in Europe. The Mauritius weather is quite hot and humid during the months, with the rise in temperatures which happens in the months of December, January and February. Rainfall is quite abundant, especially in the central region. The highest rainfall usually occurs in the months of February and March. This is the ideal time for scuba diving especially in the months of December to March and for the deep-sea fishing. The cyclonic season starts right the way from November to April.

Most of the time, the Cyclones do not hit Mauritius because of the small size of the island. However, if they come close, the bad Mauritius weather may start to affect vegetation and few wooden buildings. the good thing is that the beach resorts have been made in such a way as to be able to resist strong cyclonic winds in the island. The Mauritius weather is cooler during the season of May to October, and strong winds tend to blow over the island from the east and south-eastern direction. the weather enables tourists to visit various areas and thus enjoy the scenic beauty.
